Also known as “A Play in a Day,” 24 Hour Theatre challenges teams of EGRHS students to write, direct, rehearse, and perform a play from start to finish in just a 24-hour-period!
Join us for this ONE NIGHT ONLY event, and witness the creation of several original short plays! The shows created by our dynamic students have never been seen on any stage in the world and may never be seen again. Don't miss this unique performance!
The performance will be in the EGRHS Little Auditorium Arts Center at 7:00pm on March 22, 2025. Tickets are $6 for students and $8 for adults. Doors open 30 minutes prior to the scheduled curtain time.
East Grand Rapids High School will present Freaky Friday, based on the classic novel by Mary Rodgers and the hit Disney films, as its spring musical. Performances are May 1-3, 2025.
When an overworked mother and her teenage daughter magically swap bodies, they have just one day to put things right again. Freaky Friday is a heartfelt, comedic, and unexpectedly emotional update on an American classic. By spending a day in each other's shoes, Katherine and Ellie come to appreciate one another's struggles, learn self-acceptance, and realize the immeasurable love and mutual respect that bond a mother and daughter.
Performances will be in the EGRHS Performing Arts Center at 7:00pm on May 1-3. Tickets are $8 for students and $12 for adults. Premium seating for $12 (students) and $16 (adults) is also available. Doors open 30 minutes prior to the scheduled curtain time.
